  • Word Lit Zine Quiz Show! April 19, 2018 at 7:30PM
    What better way to kick off Bibliophilia than with an event by the producer/creator of the festival, Word Lit Zine! Seattles best magazine for all thing literary comes off the page and into reality. There will be live readings from past contributing poets and writers, as well as puzzles and games for the nerd in all of us. Contestants will be volunteers from the audience and will have an opportunity to win amazing prize packages. Come ready to nerd out with the Word Lit Zine Quiz Show!

 

  • Chapter One: Foreign with Sonora Jha April 20, 2018 at 7:30PM
    This Bibliophilia fan favorite brings literature to lifeliterally. Local author Sonora Jha, will be reading the first chapter from her critically acclaimed debut novel, Foreign (Random House India). After the reading, the Bibliophilia Players, our group of improvisational actors, will act out that chapter for a full page-to-stage experience.

 

  • Based On a True Story, a Live Memoir April 20, 2018 at 9:00PM
    Based On a True Story, a Live Memoir: This is where true stories come to life. We invite one very brave audience member to share a true story from their actual life. Then the audience member along side the Bibliophilia Players, our company of improvisational actors, will recreate the memory as a best-selling book adaptation. Think Seabiscuit or Titanic: the story is mostly true, but some of the events are a little embellished. This show relives memories and turns them into epic glories.

 

  • Poetry Verse Play April 21, 2018 at 7:30PM
    Poetry Verse Play Art doesn't imitate life at this show, art imitates art. The poet and activist Quenton Baker will read of of his rich and devastating poems. Then the Bibliophilia Players, our team of improvisational actors, never hearing the poem before, will perform a one-act play inspired by the piece.

 

  • Heathcliff Letters April 21, 2018 at 9:00PM
    It's time to cram! You remember your school days- book reports and pop quizzes, don't you wish you had a better way to study all the classics? Well at this show, you will learn everything you ever need to know about great literature without cracking a book. Shout out the title of a novel you've always wanted to read, and sit back and enjoy as the Bibliophilia Players, our group of improvisational actors, give you the Heathcliff Letters version.
